PRESS RELEASE Breaking through the barriers with love… Cheryl Cooke author of The Self Love Parent breaks through self publishing barrier to launch book to help others love themselves. Living as a single parent in Surrey with her two young children, She broke through many obstacles to launch her book recently.
Firstly she is self published and on a very tight single parent budget.
Secondly she approached Waterstones bookstore in Farnham and they told her that they don’t normally stock books written by self published authors. However with a persistent and positive approach from Cheryl they offered her a book launch event on 22nd May 2018.
Thirdly Cheryl approached the local newspaper the Farnham Herald to ask if they would write an editorial for her book launch. They also said they wouldn’t normally do this for a self published author but with some persistence Cheryl achieved a small write up and a photo on the front page.
Fourthly Cheryl rose to the challenge of getting her book displayed in Waterstones shop window. After several visits to ask why the book wasn’t yet presented in the window they finally placed The Self Love Parent book in the window along with a poster and an A-Board display advertising the launch event outside the shop too. Considering Cheryl’s book cover has a controversial cover photo of her embracing her own chest, she took this as yet another barrier crossed.
This book is aimed at raising awareness on how to empower and love yourself throughout your challenges in life. It’s a great self help guide to really assist anyone achieve their best in life and to embrace every challenge that comes their way.
